Final: Drawing Fire

Here is my final Drawing Fire publication really enjoy it but some technical difficulties appear to happen when converting an indesign CS3 document to a CS2 but this is the CS3 version. I would like to have kept the counter change title as seen previously but for the professor I changed it.

Update: Drawing Fire

After an inprogress critique things that needed to be adjusted:
-counter change text
-black background
-not enough comic books
-awkward 2nd page quote
-can only have 2 spreads

what was actually done so far
-used a dark blue background and red and white text, give it an american flag feel without punching you in the face with it
-haven't scanned all the comic books but just before posting i got about 10 more
-quote was corrected by placing it within the column of text on the 2nd page
-I have a possible alternative to the 2nd spread, instead of horizontal i have a vertical picture
-in order to get the article of text within 2 spreads I decreased font size as well as tightened up the leading I have yet to print to determine its functionality but this is what I have accomplished so far

Drawing Fire Publication

Here is an inprogress of my publication from Print Magaine on comic books. My goal is to redesign it with my own touch as well as the publication of CYMK magazine. The article is about how comic book artists are beginning to take their own approach to what is happening in Iraq and recreate it with futuristic feel. For example they take an event that happened in Iraq and then create the same even in a futuristic New York City environment. They also poke fun at the government and how they act upon what is going on.

Flash Portfolio

With the limitations behind this blog I have created a more professional flash portfolio style website I'll still be using this on occasion.
